Locate bass around available cover, including aquatic vegetation, brush, submerged timber, boat docks and around rocky points. Catfish, which stay relatively close to river channels, can be caught year round. Canoes and kayaks are a simple way to fish the backs of the many coves and inlets around the lake. Use one of the several boat ramps to launch your pleasure, water-sport, or fishing boat. Boats are also available for rent locally. For anglers preferring to fish from the bank, the shoreline is accessible at various locations around the lake - including Lake Brownwood State Park.

Oak Point POA Northern Boat Ramp
Located in the northeast corner of the lake, off Lakeside Court, this is a one-lane, concrete ramp with gravel parking.

Oak Point POA Southern Boat Ramp
Located in the northeast corner of the lake, off Oak Point Drive, this is a one-lane, concrete ramp with gravel parking.

Public Boat Ramp
Located mid lake, east side, off at the north end of the dam, this is a four-lane, concrete ramp with docks and gravel parking.
