Straddling the South Dakota-Nebraska border, Lewis And Clark Lake is a 31,000-acre lake between Yankton and Springfield, SD. Fishing enthusiasts, boaters and vacationers will find over 90 miles of shoreline to explore and enjoy. It was formed by the Gavins Point Dam on the Missouri River and offers a wide range of recreational activities, with fishing being one of the main attractions.
Walleye is the most sought-after species here, and the lake is well-known for producing trophy-sized catches. Sauger and saugeye are also prevalent. For bass enthusiasts, both smallmouth and largemouth bass can be found in the lake. Anglers looking for panfish will find plenty of yellow perch and both black and white crappie in the lake.
