Guide To Fishing At Deer Creek Reservoir

Blessed with a nice mix of fish species, Deer Creek Reservoir is a 3,000-acre lake in the northeast corner of the state, at Charleston. It is six miles long with eighteen miles of shoreline.
Most of the time, fishing can range from good to very good for bass, trout, walleye and perch. Fishing from the bank can be good around the lake most anywhere anglers can find access. In winter, ice fishing can be good for walleye, perch, crappie and trout. Boating access is available at Deer Creek State Park on the south end of the lake, and at Deer Creek Island Resort on the east side.
