The fertile waters of Lake Nottely, in conjunction with efforts by the DNR, are consistently producing good catches of bass. The lake also has populations of several other species including catfish, crappie, rainbow trout, sunfish, striped bass and hybrid stripers. This picturesque, 4,200-acre reservoir is located on the northern border of the state, a mile northwest of Blairsville, GA. Anglers can explore over 100 miles of shoreline in search of their favorite fish species. There are numerous boat launch ramps and public access areas for fishing from the bank. Campgrounds, marinas, restaurants, stores and other local amenities assist in making Nottely Lake a great destination for family vacations, fishing outings and time spent enjoying the great outdoors.
