Big fat crappie, lunker bass and giant catfish come out of Lake Bogue Homa on a regular basis. This popular 882-acre fishing lake is located in the southeast section of the state, 8 miles east of Laurel. Bream fishing is popular making this a good place to take the kids fishing. There is plenty of areas for bank fishing along the six miles of shoreline, plus there is a fishing pier in the southeast corner of the lake off Bogue Homa Lake Road. Boating access is via the Lake Bogue Homa boat launch ramp, in the southwest corner of the lake, off Old US Hwy 84.
