The feature of El Vado Lake State Park, is the sparkling waters of El Vado Lake, a 3,200-acre lake in the north-central part of the state, 8 miles southwest of Tierra Amarilla. Drive around the lake and use the hiking trails to access nearly 20 miles of shoreline for fishing from the bank.
Find your personal spot and fish for kokanee salmon, rainbow and brown trout. Lake trout are typically caught from boats while trolling and fishing the deeper regions of the lake. The boating public can use the boat launch ramp, marina, rental boats, restaurants and campgrounds.

Located in the northeast corner of the lake, off El Vado Boat Road, this is a two-lane, concrete ramp with a dock and gravel parking.
