Guide To Fishing At Lake Bowen
AKA: Lake William C. Bowen
What to fish for...
Fishing for largemouth bass, channel catfish, black crappie, white crappie and bluegill at Lake Bowen in South Carolina.

Near the northern border of the central part of the state, Lake Bowen is a 1,500-acre lake with healthy abundant schools of bass, crappie, catfish and bluegill. Fishing enthusiasts can cruise the 33 miles of shoreline in search of shallow fish, or work the deeper regions of the lake when the fish move deep.
Much of the lake is lined with boat docks, a favorite hiding place for bass and crappie. The bass fishing is good enough to be a popular lake for bass tournaments. Some unimproved areas do allow access to the shore for fishing from the bank. Boat ramps are open to the public for launching boats, with no horsepower limits, for water sports, sightseeing and fishing.
