Bass are the big draw at Pachaug Pond, which is an 840-acre lake located in the southeast corner of the state at Griswold. Bass enthusiasts can enjoy working nearly 10 miles of shoreline, or fish the points, deeper ledges, and channels.
Catfish, crappie, bluegill, sunfish, perch and pike all reside here in good numbers and size. There is shoreline available for fishing from the bank at Pachaug Marina and Campground and at Pachaug Pond Boat Launch.
