Largemouth Bass

Current Report: Fair To Good
Outlook: Good
LaDue Reservoir can be tough at times for catching largemouth bass, other times it can be pretty good. Reports of good catches from recent bass tournaments give locals optimism for good bass fishing here this year. Spinnerbaits are catching nice largemouth bass here, but many tournament anglers are throwing vibrating jigs as a primary bait. During slow times, when the bass are finicky, a stick worm, rigged wacky style, often works to draw bass out of weeds and tight cover.
Walleye

Current Report: Fair
Outlook: Good
Walleye like to slow cruise around flats and structure close to deep water, looking for small white perch and baitfish. They primarily feed close to the bottom. When walleye are in 12' to 25' of water a blade bait or a swimbait is a good way to locate the fish. Once you locate a school, a drop-shot rig with minnow-shaped plastics or nightcrawlers is a good way to work the school. Locals report spoons, deep-diving crankbaits, and worm harness spinners are also catching walleye while trolling.
Channel Catfish

Current Report: Fair To Good
Outlook: Good To Very Good
Fishing for channel catfish is often productive around any kind of structure. In LaDue Reservoir submerged road beds, creek channels and rocky points are all good places to find channel cats. Cut bait and nightcrawlers are proven catfish baits, with many of the bigger cats being taken on cut bait. Fishing late in the day until midnight often produces the best fishing activity as this is prime feeding time for channel cats. Spring, and again in Fall, are some of the best time of year. Use a slip sinker or Carolina rig setup. Many locals report good catches concentrating on the south end of the lake to the I-422 Bridge.
