There are plenty of options to wet a line fishing from the bank, or from a boat. There are multiple boat ramps to facilitate launching of pleasure boats, pontoons and fishing boats. Rocky shorelines, points, ledges, river channels and shallow-water aquatic vegetation provide cover for baitfish and the many fish species residing here. Bass, white bass, hybrid stripers, crappie, catfish, sunfish, gar and bowfin populate the lake. In one way or another, the fish move shallow in spring and fall, then deeper in winter and the hot months of summer. Often schools of baitfish are the key to locating fish - especially white bass, hybrids and bass. Catfish fishing is good year round and creek channels are generally a good place to find them. Lodging, campgrounds, stores, restaurants and marinas are scattered around the lake to enhance your visit.

Brookshire's Recreation Park Boat Ramp
Located in the southeast section of the lake, off Brookshire Super 1 Drive, this is a two-lane, concrete ramp with a dock and gravel parking.

Deep End Public Boat Ramp
Located in the southwest corner of the lake, at the west end of the dam, this is a two-lane, concrete ramp with a dock and gravel parking.

Flat Creek Public Boat Ramp
Located mid lake, west side, south end of the Highway 315 Bridge, this is a one-lane, concrete ramp with docks and paved parking.

Kickapoo Public Boat Ramp
Located in the northwest corner of the lake, at the south end of the Highway 315 Bridge, this is a one-lane, concrete ramp with a dock and gravel parking.

Lakeway Harbor Boat Ramp
Located mid lake, east side, off Lakeway Harbor Road, this is a two-lane, concrete ramp with a dock and gravel parking.

Saline Bay Public Boat Ramp
Located mid lake, east side, in Saline Bay, off County Road 189 W, this is a two-lane, concrete ramp with a dock and gravel parking.

Skeater Dock
Located in the northwest corner of the lake, off Wildewood Drive, this is a one-lane, concrete ramp with a dock and paved parking.

Village Marina Boat Launch Ramp
Located in the northeast section of the lake, off Big Eddy Road, this is a two-lane, concrete ramp with a dock and paved parking.

Westberry Landing & Boat Ramp
Located in the northeast corner of the lake, off Highway 2661, this is two, one-lane, concrete ramps with docks and gravel parking.
