Amistad Reservoir is a 64,900-acre reservoir on the southwest border of the state, at Del Rio.

B.A. Steinhagen Lake is a 10,700-acre lake in the southeast part of the state, 8 miles southwest of Jasper.

Balmorhea Lake is a 570-acre lake in the eastern part of the state, at the town of Balmorhea.
