Although water levels often fluctuate quite a bit, Wheatland Reservoir #3 can be a worthwhile destination for trout and walleye. This 4,700-acre lake in the south-central part of the state is best fished during the season, March and October, but can be good year round with ice fishing in winter.
With over 10 miles of shoreline, and easy access, anglers can fish from the bank, or use the public boat ramp to launch, power boats, canoes, kayaks, pontoons, pleasure boats and fishing boats of all types.
