Guide To Fishing At Long Lake
AKA: Long Lake Park

Big, fat smallmouth bass are the top draws for anglers at Long Lake, a 5,600-acre lake in the northeast corner of the lower peninsula, 5 miles north of Alpena. In addition to smallies, walleye, trout, sunfish, perch and northern pike reside here.
There are several boat launch ramps, a marina, and boat rentals available at the lake. Fishing enthusiasts can explore 25 miles of shoreline, or work the deeper channels, flats and ledges in search of their favorite species. In winter, ice fishing is popular.
