Located one hour north of Philadelphia, Lake Nockamixon is a 1,450-acre impoundment with a nice variety of fish species. Perch, crappie, bass, catfish, walleye, chain pickerel, sunfish and muskie all thrive here. The lake had a 20-hp limit for boat motors which keeps boat traffic in check for those who prefer peaceful serenity while fishing. There are areas of the lake accessible for shoreline fishing - some via hiking trails around the lake. Ice fishing in winter is allowed when safe ice conditions permit.
