Guide To Fishing At Chevelon Canyon Lake
AKA: Chevlon Lake
What to fish for...
Fishing for rainbow trout and brown trout at Chevelon Canyon Lake in Arizona.

A quality trout lake in northern Arizona, Chevelon Canyon Lake is a walk-in lake with 200 surface-acres. Boat motors are restricted to 8 HP or less. Canoes, kayaks and small aluminum boats are the best option here. Boats, motors and all gear has to be carried down to the lake - and of course, carried back up. The path from the parking area is steep and a little over a half-mile hike, so plan wisely. Because of the hiking required, the lake gets limited pressure. As a result the trout tend to run larger than lakes with easy access. This is a place to catch a monster brown trout. Early and late summer are the best times to go. There is no fee for camping. Campsites are available on a first-come, first served basis.
